The Mater Mothers’ Private Hospital is the premier maternity facility in the southern hemisphere with 90 private maternity beds and 16 birthing rooms.

Mater Mothers’ Private Hospital (MMPH) provides integrated tertiary services for women and babies including:

• neonatalogy
• maternal fetal medicine

• perinatal outreach education.

An expanded Neonatal Critical Care Unit provides 79 cot spaces including intensive care, high dependency and special care cots, making it one of the biggest neonatal critical care units in Australia.

Additional servicesinclude the Pregnancy Assessment and Observation Unit, collocated with Birth suite. Managed by Mater Mothers’ midwives, this unit enables women with pregnancy related concerns to be reviewed in a setting that is comfortable and inviting. Women have the ability to access the support of obstetric, medical and allied health professionals as required.

Transport and car parking

Parking is available at the Hancock Street Car Park and Mater Hill car parks. These car parks are not always attended; therefore payment should be made at the designated pay stations prior to returning to your car. On-street metered parking is regulated by Brisbane City Council.
