Mater Mothers' Research Centre

Welcome

In 2006, a group of Mater researchers, executives and the Mater Foundation formed a research Committee to organise and develop Mater Mothers' Hospitals' research activity to the standard required for formal endorsement as a Research Centre according to Mater policy.

In July 2008, Mater Mothers' Research Centre was endorsed by the Mater Hospital Services Board as the first formal Research Centre at Mater.

Research Programs

MMH research is organised within five research programs:

Each of these programs is overseen by a program head and are further organised into research teams.

Mater Mothers' Hospitals Clinical Report 2009

The 2009 Mater Mothers' Hospital Clinical Report incorporating selected clinical outcomes for 2008 is now available to download. The main objective of this report is to present selected clinical outcomes for 2008 and to provide a brief update of new services and research highlights over the year 2008 up to September 2009. For a more comprehensive summary of clinical outcomes including trends over the ten year period 1998—2007 please refer to the previous MMH Clinical Report.
