As an Obstetrician, Gynaecologist and fertility specialist, Dr Melissa Luckensmeyer is one of the most experienced doctors in Brisbane. She is one of a select few who specialise in both obstetrics and fertility. Dr Luckensmeyer is a graduate of The University of Queensland and completed her training in obstetrics and gynaecology in Brisbane and regional centres. She is now part of the River City Obstetric Group, which operates a shared on-call roster staffed by like-minded female obstetricians.

Dr Luckensmeyer values the personal relationships that develop from her work; helping women and their partners during pregnancy, birth and beyond. This is shown through her empathetic, warm, friendly and professional manner. Dr Luckensmeyer’s best advice for mums-to-be is to not let the stress of pregnancy take away from the miraculous presence developing inside of you. As a mum to three daughters - all born at Mater Mothers' Private Brisbane - Dr Luckensmeyer has first-hand experience with taking on her own advice.
